Knockin on Heavens Door

My life has been a non-stop rollar coaster ride ever since I was little. Just when I thought that I was climbing the last hill to come down life threw me a curve ball. But I have never stopped believing in God. God has blessed me through the years with a fantastic group of friends, a loving family, and a life full of surprises.

Anytime I hit a dead end I start praying and ask for advice on where to go next. I know that as long as I travel the road God wants me to I will not be traveling a beaten path. My path will be straight and lead to something so glorious that I will never want to wander away. God has helped me through so many rough turns and ditches that I don't understand why people say that he doesn't exist. They blame their misery on the world and God and say,"If God is realm, then why is he letting all of this bad stuff happen to me?" God has given us the choice of free will and we allowed to choose for ourselves what we want to do in life but if you are a believer and are going through hard times, he is testing you. He wants to see if your faith is strong enough to sustain hardships in your life. He wants to make sure that you are truly on his side or the "winning side."

Everyday, I learn something new about God or the Bible that I have never known before and that is the way it should be. Our faith should never stop growing and we should never stop learning about the Bible or God. I feel that he wants us to learn as much as we can about him before it is time for us to go see him face to face.

God is our father and we are his children. So whenever you are need of hope, healing, comapnionship, etc. God is there to talk to. He is always willing to listen to what you have to say and will never shut you out. So you can keep Knockin on Heaven's door because it will never refuse to let you in and that is a promise that you know will be true.

Boys that think they are Men

Boys that think they are Men

Girls! Have you ever been a relationship with a guy and something happened where you broke up and didn't have anything else to say to each other? Some guys wonder why girls act all "crazy" well this is my theory: Girls act like that because they have to put up with the little boys that don't know when to grow up. I admit, I am not being sexist at all because there are some very good men out there but they are very hard to find.

I don't like the fact that some little boys think that if they have a girlfriend or ex-girlfriend they think that they own them. A girl is a human being not a peice of property. No matter if she is your girlfriend, wife or just a close friend. She doesn't belong to anyone but GOD! Girls need to start standing up for themselves because no girl should have to put up with be treated like a piece of property. That is not what were put on this earth for. I give it up to the girls that stand up for themselves and don't like being disrespected. I am one of those girls and I will always be. I don't like being treated like someone owns me. Nobody owns me but GOD and that is all that matters.

So for those of you who stand up and say something I praise you because sometimes girls feel like they are less than everyone else because it is supposed to be a man's world. Well, guess what? Just because girls are in this world it doesn't mean that we are less sufficient than men. Girls and men should be on the same page as far as respect is concerned. But the only way that will happen is if the girls say something.

College Cafeteria Food

Yeah! you have graduated high school and the next step is college!

You have already recieved acceptance letters from several of the top schools in the country, such as, Duke Univeristy, University of Tennesse, and UCLA. You are having a hard decision about which one you would like to go to. You have to determine which one has the best offers in food, housing, academics, etc.
Some colleges tend to have open houses and serve "good" food when they have visitors. You have to watch out though cause looks can be deceiving. What you should do is: ask around and get different responses about how the food "really" tastes like during the school year. The best ones to go to are the ones that have been there for a while like the juniors and seniors. Some students have been tricked into going to a school and they are stuck with the worst food ever. It may start off ok but as the semester goes on the budget goes down and by the end of the semester you feel like you are eating like a prisoner. The food is rationed, undercooked, overdone, spoiled, and left over from a couple of days ago.
All students suffer from this "College food syndrome" but some are better off than others. At big Universities you are able to get a meal plan and use your card for subway, chick-fil-a, etc. While the smaller schools have just a cafeteria. So most students are sent to the famous McDonald's for the dollar menu. It may be unhealthy but it tastes better than the schools food. The athletes suffer the most though because when they practice they loose nutrients and they have to replenish them through food but they can't get the nutrients they need by the food that is being served to them at school. The school food doesn't stay in there system long enough, causes stomach pains, etc.
Students pay over $4,000 for school food and they deserve to be given the "good stuff" rather than the prision rations that should be thrown to the dogs but even the dogs won't even eat it. They take one smell of it and run away.
